For 12 years, Rob held Senior Leadership Roles at Disney as a Managing Director of Regional corporate, commercial and product business divisions.
As MD for Disney SEA group, Rob led all Disney’s business divisions. He delivered rapid revenue growth and robust profitability; rapidly expanded in-market presence across Southeast Asia; digitally transformed the Media division; established a high growth Consumer Product licensing division; increased Film Studio revenue fivefold and built brand equity leadership with Integrated Marketing, Brand Management and Insights functions.
MD Asia Pacific region: Led sustained commercial Growth, delivering >$1B deal value, to 150 distribution partners, and pioneering digital distribution channels. Board Member of a leading Indian listed company, and Film Studio Joint Venture in Australia.
MD, Disney Channels UK, Nordic and Emerging Markets: Responsible for TV Network Business, led focus on product innovation & launch of new services, new markets, and new hit creative properties. Built deep platform partnerships, pioneered digital distribution across Mobile, Online Video, Digital Terrestrial, and Interactive Television.
Turner Broadcasting Asia Pacific division, Hong Kong
For 6 Years, held Senior Executive roles at Turner (CNN, Cartoon Network and Entertainment Networks) during key industry growth period:
Head of APAC Marketing & Network Development: Led refocus on campaign profitability with 30+ marketing campaigns annually, and established interactive division launching 5 websites and games portfolio. Formed TV Production group in India striking multi-year partnerships with Sesame and Endemol.
Head of Business Development, APAC: Led all Strategic Planning, focusing on Profit Improvement and restructuring. Led all M&A, delivering investments, forming JV’s and leading strategic divestments. Led Product Innovation initiatives expanding Mobile Content licensing and launching Award Winning Original TV Network.
Technology, Information, Communications and Entertainment (TICE) Group, Hong Kong, Tokyo & London
For 8 years at leading global Professional Services firm, provided a range of services including Corporate Strategy, Organization & Change Strategy, Transaction Support, Financial Due Diligence, Industry Development, Training, and Audit.
InfoComms Media Development Authority (IMDA)
Rob is a passionate contributor to industry development, most recently through participation with the InfoComm Media Development Authority of Singapore (“IMDA”). IMDA is the Singapore Government’s statutory body responsible for regulating and developing the Technology, Media & Telecom industries, and is a key driver of Singapore’s Smart Nation strategy. Rob is a Board Member, Investment Committee Member and Budget & Projects Review Committee Member of IMDA.
Singapore Media Festival (SMF)
Rob is Chair, Advisory Board for the SIngapore Media Festival, which brings together leading international events: Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF), Asian Television Forum & Screen Singapore (ATF), The Asian Academy Creative Awards, and Singapore Comicon (SGCC).
